The Results.
Focusing first on the look and feel I started by reflecting on the Erica’s story, her product designs, what they’re trying to achieve, and how I can effectively tell that story through content and visual design. After a couple brain storms and initial concepts, both parties settled on what I felt would both resonate and best represent the brand in that market.
I wanted the logotype to feel loose and unconstrained too much by geometry and form. That being said, it seemed obvious that any typical typefaces just wouldn’t feel right for the brand, so I went old school and took out all the pens, brushes, inks, and paints for that hand-done look. After an afternoon of calligraphy and scribbling, we were able to edit, refine, and narrow down the options to show the client.
Sweet Paradise Club also needed help launching the brand through a variety of content and promotional assets including; photography, a simple squarespace website, social media, look book, and a variety of other assets.
I came up with a content plan using in-house photography, and stock imagery to launch and introduce themselves via website and social media. I planned, shot and produced their first campaign photoshoot here in Dana point, California. I thought the location, and styling would best reflect the brand’s story and personality.
